The management of waste is one of the most important and challenging environmental issues facing Wales.
‘Wise About Waste’ is the Welsh Assembly’s plan to deal with our rubbish. The main aims of this plan are to:
Move from an over reliance on landfill to more sustainable waste management, and Increase the amount of recycling and composting of waste. Monmouthshire County Council’s Waste Strategy addresses these aims.
Our new booklet and these web pages summarise our key proposals and initiatives, and identifies what you can do to help. Follow the links below or to the left to pages explaining the Why, How and Where of recycling in Monmouthshire and use the other links at left and right to find out more about local facilities and about how you can help with recycling At Home, At School, At Work, In the Garden and At The Shops.
