Updated Overarching Maps (July 2023)
To reflect sites that have been removed out of the process as part of the Candidate Site high-level assessment and are not being taken forward to the next stage (3A Candidate Site Stage Assessment).
A Candidate Site is a piece of land submitted to the Council by an interested party ( e.g a development or landowner) for the Council to consider the land for a certain purpose. A Candidate Site submission can be for development/redevelopment or protection. A Candidate Site has no status and is not a planning application.
Please note the overarching maps are for information purposes solely to provide an overview of sites submitted in each settlement/area. They do not in any way indicate that all Candidate Sites submitted for development will be needed in the RLDP to meet our future growth requirement.
As noted from the outset of the process the inclusion of a site on the Candidate Site Register does not represent a commitment that such sites will be allocated in the Deposit RLDP.
For details of the proposed use of each site please refer to the individual site in the Candidate Site Register using the Candidate Site reference number provided. Please note the overarching maps do not include all Candidate Sites submitted. For sites in the rural areas please refer to individual maps in the Candidate Site Register.
