Infuse is an innovation and research programme designed to build skills and capacity for innovative future public services across the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR). The programme is built around opportunities to tackle real-life questions, driven by the biggest challenges faced by the region: Accelerating Decarbonisation and Supportive communities.
Infuse is supported by the European Social Fund through Welsh Government. With support from research fellows, data scientists, and experts in innovation, data and procurement, teams will work together to understand how to consider how to tackle a ‘wicked issue’ for them, their region and their communities. There is time to explore innovation to suit the need, acquire tools and methods to effectively frame the problem, ask good data questions, use data to enable effective decision making, and to maximise ‘social value’ when spending public money. Infuse is a collaboration between Cardiff University, Y Lab, Nesta, CCR and the ten local authorities that make up the region led by Monmouthshire County Council.
The Programme will run until 2023, working with four cohorts of local authority, public and third sector workers from across the Cardiff Capital Region.
