A postal vote application can be downloaded by clicking here. The application needs your wet ink signature so please print and complete the application form. Changes to the Senedd Election
From May 2026, the number of Senedd constituencies will reduce from 40 to 16, but each will be represented by six Members. The total number of Members will increase from 60 to 96.
The Monmouthshire and Torfaen constituencies will create the Senedd constituency of Sir Fynwy Torfaen.
The way people will vote will also change.
The ballot paper will show the full list of candidates in your constituency, so you can still see who you’re voting for. If a party wins enough votes, they will win one or more seats in the Senedd. If an independent candidate wins enough votes, they will win a seat in the Senedd. Seats will reflect the percentage of votes each party or independent candidate gets.
The new voting system is called a closed proportional list system.
