The Licensing Act Policy 2025
The Licensing Act 2003 requires each Licensing Authority to determine and publish a statement of its licensing policy at least once every five years. The policy must be published before it carries out any licensing functions under the Act.
On 26th June 2025, Monmouthshire County Council adopted the revised Licensing Policy 2025 for implementation on 1st July 2025. The Licensing Policy is instrumental in determining applications that affect premises that sells or supplies alcohol, sells hot food and drink between 11p.m. and 5a.m. and/or provides regulated entertainment.
