We will be starting the process for shutting down our existing Planning System on 16th February because we are replacing this with a new software system called Idox Uniform. This will be more efficient and will help us process applications more quickly.

During this period:-

  • * new applications will not be logged
  • * consultations will not be sent out
  • * decisions will not be issued.

We will continue to deal with applications in the pipeline and any enforcement cases.

The online facility to view applications will still be available and the planning team will be available to answer queries etc.
The new system should be up and running on 6th March 2018. We will then clear the backlog of work as quickly as possible, restart the consultations and issue any decisions outstanding. No decisions will be made without the normal consultation process taking place.

Applications can be submitted electronically to the council using the Planning portal website (external site) along with advice about the planning system

View applications

Applications can be viewed and tracked online. You can make comments or objections on any current applications. Please note that the application reference number will be required to make a comment or objection. Your comment will be reviewed by a planning officer and will be taken into consideration as part of the overall decision making process.
