Where appropriate our bespoke pre-application service, site visits will be replaced by an electronic meeting, video or telephone conference call with the assigned planning officer.
Apologies but we cannot currently provide an advice service for pre-application proposals, pre-purchase or post completion involving works to listed buildings owing to a temporary reduction of resources in our Heritage Team. We are regularly reviewing this position and will re-introduce this service once we have sufficient resource in place. Thank-you for your patience in this matter
Pre-application discussions is an optional service for customers, but we do encourage early discussions about your proposals so we can provide guidance on the acceptability of your development.
Depending on the type of service you choose, you will have a meeting with a Planning Officer, if appropriate and have access to other experts e.g. Highway engineers. You will have a single point of contact for the whole process and will be provided with a formal written report detailing the officer’s views, suggestions to improve the scheme and guidance on proceeding with the application.
