Hackney Carriage vehicles often called Taxi’s or Cabs are vehicles licensed for transporting up to 8 passengers. These type of vehicle’s are often found on taxi ranks throughout Monmouthshire, you are also able to approach a vehicle or hail a vehicle anywhere in Monmouthshire. The price for the transport will be calculated by the meter used in the vehicle from the point of pickup to the destination, the fee shown by the meter must be the maximum price charged by the driver. The driver of a Hackney Carriage must always be licensed and a badge should be worn by the driver.
