International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global event that takes place on March 8. Its aim is to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.
Each year we head to one of the comprehensive schools in Monmouthshire and hold a day of celebration for female pupils there. You can see how we have celebrated events in the past below.
