Monmouthshire prides itself on being an inclusive authority and aims to support all children and young people to be educated as close to their local community as possible.  Our Specialist Resource Bases are hosted by mainstream schools.

SRBs provide specialist support for children and young people with complex additional learning needs in the areas of:

  • Autism
  • Speech, language and communication difficulties
  • Severe learning difficulties
  • Physical/ medical difficulties

All admissions to the SRBs are made by a local authority panel.
