Regeneration in Caldicot is a high priority both for Monmouthshire County Council and as part of the Cardiff Capital Region. The Caldicot Town Centre Regeneration Strategic Project Framework, published in 2018, sets out the key projects that will help to deliver the regeneration objectives for Caldicot.

The Council is currently working on proposals to improve Newport Road between the edge of the town centre and the B4245. Consultation and a trial road closure were carried out in October. Feedback on the consultation and trial, along with more information about the proposals, will be available shortly.
