Let’s Talk Culture in Monmouthshire, a new online hub designed to bring together the county’s vibrant cultural community, has launched on the Let’s Talk Monmouthshire platform.

The hub will act as a dedicated space for residents, community groups, artists, creatives and cultural organisations to discover events, access funding opportunities, share resources and celebrate cultural activity happening across the county.

The hub has been created to strengthen connections between people and organisations involved in culture, while making it easier for residents to find information, opportunities and support in one place.

Residents can also learn more about the Monmouthshire Cultural Forum, established following the launch of the Monmouthshire Cultural Strategy. The forum brings together people from across the county’s arts, heritage, education, events, volunteering and creative sectors to help keep culture inclusive, ambitious and rooted in local communities.

In addition to highlighting local events and initiatives, the platform will provide updates on grants and funding opportunities, promote community projects, and encourage the sharing of ideas, resources and best practice between groups and individuals.

Cllr Sara Burch, Monmouthshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Rural Affairs, Housing and Tourism, said: “Monmouthshire is home to a rich mix of cultural activity, from community events and local heritage projects to arts organisations, performers and creative businesses.

“In developing our Cultural Strategy, people told us that they wanted more information about what’s on, opportunities for creative people to share their news and find out about funding and support.

“This hub will make it easier for people to discover what’s happening, access opportunities and connect with others who share a passion for culture. We hope it will grow as people share their news. When you bring creative people together, great things happen.”

The hub also supports the council’s ambition to make culture more visible, accessible and collaborative by providing a central place for information, opportunities and community-led content.

Residents, organisations and community groups are encouraged to explore the hub, share their projects and help grow a cultural network that celebrates Monmouthshire’s creativity, heritage and community spirit.
