Monmouthshire residents are being encouraged to have their say this September through Monmouthshire County Council’s engagement platform, Let’s Talk Monmouthshire.
More than 1,000 people have already registered, using the platform to share views, contribute ideas and keep up to date with consultations across the county.
Current consultations include:
Let’s Talk Undy Road Safety: open until 23 September, seeking feedback on proposed road safety improvements in Undy.
Let’s Talk Routes Around Usk School: open until 28 September, asking for views on walking, wheeling and cycling routes around Usk Primary School.
Let’s Talk Clydach Ironworks: open until 30 September, gathering ideas to improve the visitor experience and accessibility.
Let’s Talk Community: open until 30 September, asking residents what matters most to them and their communities.
Launching on 14 September, the Let’s Talk Resident Survey will ask residents about life in Monmouthshire, council services and their interactions with the council. The Wales-wide survey will help shape future policies, services and priorities.
Councillor Angela Sandles, Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, said: “Let’s Talk Monmouthshire is an accessible way for residents to share their views, influence decisions and help shape the future of the county. While it’s quick and easy to take part online, we know that not everyone is able, or prefers, to do it this way. So, if you pop into one of our Community Hubs and Libraries – in Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Gilwern, Magor, Monmouth and Usk – you can find surveys, posters and information available too.
“It is fantastic that more than 1,000 people have already registered, but we want to hear from even more residents. Whether it is road safety, Clydach Ironworks, community priorities or local services, every response helps us understand what matters most.”
