Highway resurfacing works are due to take place on Link Road, Monmouth, from 1 September. The works are expected to last about 4–5 weeks, depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.
To carry out the works safely and efficiently, a 24-hour road closure will be in place throughout the construction period.

Bus stops along Link Road will be temporarily closed while the works are taking place.
Temporary bus stops will be available on Portal Road, by the paths from Overmonnow, and on Wonastow Road, just west of the Link Road junction.
Access for residents will be maintained where it is safe to do so. Due to the nature of the resurfacing work, there may be times when residents need to follow the signed diversion route to access their properties.
Site staff will be available to assist and advise residents where necessary.
Businesses on and around the industrial estate are advised that HGV access will not be permitted through the closure area during the works. Deliveries, collections, suppliers and haulage operators should use the signed diversion route via Portal Road, Cinderhill Street and Wonastow Road. Businesses are encouraged to share this information with customers and suppliers in advance to help minimise disruption.
Advance warning signs will be placed ahead of the closure. These will include contact information and details of the planned working hours.
