How do I apply for a residential car parking permit?

If you live in Abergavenny, Chepstow or Monmouth town centre, you are entitled to apply for a residential parking permit to help you to park near your home.

Residential parking permit application forms are available from your local Community Hubs or our car parking team carparking@monmouthshire.gov.uk.

The residential permit costs £40 and is allocated on the basis of one per household.

When issuing a permit we will need proof of car ownership and a recent utility bill to confirm residency.

Permits must always be displayed when the vehicle occupies a parking place.

Failure to display a permit may result in the issue of a parking ticket.
