Wye Valley AONB Community Links Officer

Looking to nurture and deliver innovative countryside and community projects in an outstanding landscape? We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help build on the successes of Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership, working with land managers, local communities, volunteers and the general public to conserve and enhance the nature and heritage of the cross-border lower Wye Valley.

This is an opportunity to both develop countryside conservation, landscape enhancement, nature recovery and access projects, including managing volunteers, and to support and administer grants for collaborative community initiatives.

The post is employed by Monmouthshire County Council and based within the cross-border Wye Valley AONB Unit in Monmouth. You will be a key member of the team and lead on organising volunteer and Youth Ranger tasks and promoting and delivering community grants including Welsh Government’s Sustainable Development Fund (SDF).
