Trainee Planning Policy Officer
Monmouthshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for
an ambitious individual to join the Planning Policy Team within
the Council’s Planning Service. The Planning Policy Team write
the statutory planning policy framework to ensure that the land
use and sustainable development objectives of the Council are
met with regard to the adequate allocation and development of
land for housing, retail, recreation, education, transport and
other needs, in order to secure positive outcomes.
Under the supervision and guidance of the Planning Policy
Manager, the postholder will assist with the preparation of the
Monmouthshire Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP).
This will involve assisting with the development of the RLDP
evidence base, including survey work.
