Who is it for?
If you are a parent/carer, young person or school based professional looking for information/ resources/strategies to support either your own literacy skills or those of others, during this period of time when our young people are unable to attend their usual schools and settings, this area is designed to help you.
Why?
Our priorities are those of Welsh Government as set out in their Continuity of learning policy statement: Stay Safe. Stay Learning:
- the safety of all our learners and our education workforce
- the physical and mental health and well-being of all our learners and our education workforce
- the ability of all our learners to keep learning
- learners’ transition back into school and onto the next phase of their learning when the time comes.

You will find:
- a range of engaging resources in English and Welsh
- signposts to digital learning areas and literacy sites that we would recommend.
- power point lessons produced by our specialist team
- challenges and tasks set by our specialist team with certificates issued on completion
- games
- advice on literacy strategies and approaches to support learners
A final note:
We hope that you like what you find here. We will be updating this area of our website frequently and so it will not remain static. We aim to improve the area as we move forward.
