You can check your collection days by visiting the ‘Local Info’ webpage: http://maps.monmouthshire.gov.uk/

Please ensure that all waste is placed out before 7am for collection.

Christmas time leads to more waste so the council has agreed that residents can put out one extra bag of black bag waste for their first collection after Christmas Day from 27th December 2023 to 6th January 2024.

There is no limit to the amount of recycling you can put out for collection.

Festive wrapping paper can be recycled in red bags provided it’s not made from foil, plastic, or glitter wrap. Christmas cards can be recycled in your red bags too. All food waste can be recycled using the kerbside collection.

Garden waste

The 2023 garden waste collection service ends on 8th December. There will be one additional collection between 8th – 19th January 2024 to help with the collection of leaf fall and Christmas trees. Please place your Christmas trees inside or next to your garden waste bin for collection.

Alternatively, real Christmas trees can also be taken to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre.

The 2024 collection service will re-start in March and registration will open in January.
