Read to the Beat! Summer Reading Challenge – Free at Your local Library

Dear Parents and Carers,

Give your child a great start to the summer by joining the Summer Reading Challenge! Open to children aged 4–11, the challenge is free, fun, and a fantastic way to keep them reading during the school holidays.

Children can:

Set their own reading goal
Read whatever they enjoy – books, eBooks, or audiobooks
Collect stickers as they progress
Complete the challenge and earn prizes

The Summer Reading Challenge launches on Saturday 4 July and runs throughout the summer at all Monmouthshire libraries.

Reading regularly helps children build confidence, develop their imagination, and maintain their literacy skills over the holiday break. Most importantly, it makes reading fun!
