The ‘Place Scrutiny Committee’ engages the public in the design of policy and services that shape the county as a place in which to live and a destination to attract visitors and businesses, reflecting the public voice to the Cabinet in advance of decisions being taken.

This committee is a vehicle through which the public can voice their opinion on major decisions, to assist the committee in drawing its conclusions and making recommendations to the Cabinet.

Members engage with their communities by holding informal face-to-face meetings in the community or conducting surveys in their local area.

The public is also able to submit audio, video and written submissions to this committee and attend its meetings. To contribute to the work of this committee or to suggest a topic for scrutiny, please click on the ‘Get Involved’ section on the website.
