GENERAL OPERATIVE : COUNTY HIGHWAY NETWORK
To lead small teams while undertaking Roadworker duties to General Operative level. Be able to work to precise levels and requirements in general highway construction work. To support staff and assist the workforce to deliver a safe and well maintained highway network undertake General Highway and specialist work on the County Road Network within the operational area, including annual maintenance activities, works contracts, and for other customers in the locality, ensuring that they are carried out safely. To deputise for Lead Operative.
The General Operative will assist the Superintendent, Area Engineers, the Highway Operation Group Engineer and the team. They will be required to ensure that he undertakes work in a safely, to provide support to ensure the safety of the highway network within the County ensuring a prompt response to identified safety issues
