If you cannot find a course that suits you or your New Year resolution was to learn something we don’t currently offer then please get in touch where we can note your requests as we are always keen to introduce new courses where possible.

2018 was a fantastic year for Community Learning with over 110 courses and workshops being run across all centres this term alone (Sept-December).

We attended the Celebration of Achievement awards evening with Gwent Adult Community Learning Partnership where one of our learners Dr Alfred Bracchi was awarded Monmouthshire’s Learner or the Year 2018. He is an inspiration for the other learners that attend, and his artwork is admired not only by other learners but also the local community.  Our Tutor, Ellen McCombe was awarded Monmouthshire’s Tutor of the Year 2018 as learners expressed how kind and supportive she is and that they always look forward to her classes and our Abergavenny Intermediate Mixed media course received Monmouthshire’s Group of the Year award 2018 as the group truly demonstrates what Monmouthshire Community Learning is all about.

In addition, we partook in the celebration of Adult Learners Week where we hosted 41 workshops in five days and we had over 190 people attend and partake to make it a popular week of events.

We look forward to making 2019 an even more successful year for Community Learning and we hope you will be a part of it!
