There are two types of Building Regulations applications:
Building Notice application – Suitable for smaller domestic works only
Application for Building Control Approval with Full Plans – Used when detailed plans and specifications are submitted and assessed for compliance with Building Regulations.
If building work has been carried out without approval, you can apply for a Regularisation here
