PENT001- Street Lighting – Energy Increases

Energy prices have increased, resulting in a rising cost to deliver this service.

We will continue to make energy savings: We have introduced LED lighting, however there still remains a budget pressure.

CENT020- Highway Charges

Income and grant funding has been less than anticipated. Where possible we will seek to relieve some of this pressure through increases in charges for particular services and seeking additional grant funding opportunities.

Highways – General Savings

Savings will be created through improved working practices, e.g. working with a neighbouring authority to increase recycling, purchasing equipment instead of hiring and removing vacant posts.
