Course Description

Being able to use spoken and written English effectively is vital for almost any career. Whether you are an adult who wanting to improve your English skills, or you use English for work and study ESOL (English for Speakers of other Languages) course can help to achieve your goal.

The course can help you to:

  • talk to doctors and teachers
  • understand the laws and customs of the UK
  • do a course and get a qualification
  • help your child with homework
  • pass the Life in the UK test and become a British Citizen

ESOL courses cover:

  • speaking and listening
  • reading and writing
  • vocabulary
  • punctuation and grammar

There are courses at different levels so you’ll be able to start at the right level for you.

ESOL course is designed to help you gain confidence and language skills necessary to access other learning or progress further in your chosen career.

Outcome

By the end of the course you should be able to speak more clearly to be heard and understood in straightforward conversations, make requests and ask questions in everyday situations, make statements and short descriptions clearly, ask questions to clarify understanding, follow the main points of and make appropriate contributions to discussions. You will be able to read, write and understand short texts on familiar topics, read and get information from short documents, familiar sources, signs and symbols.
