From accessing council services to finding local support and advice, Monmouthshire residents can discover a wealth of help and opportunities at their local Community Hub.

From hosting community groups and free activities, to providing an inclusive space where residents of all ages are welcome, the traditional library has become so much more.

If you need a laptop or help getting online, the Community Hub team can help residents stay connected through a free laptop loan scheme, available if you’re a member of the library.

Residents across Monmouthshire who are unable to visit their local library can continue to enjoy the benefits of reading thanks to the Home Delivery Service, bringing books and other library materials directly to residents’ homes.

The service also helps to reduce social isolation, promote wellbeing, and ensure everyone can enjoy the many benefits reading can bring.

As part of the service, a dedicated Outreach Officer will arrange a personal visit to the resident, taking time to discuss their reading preferences, interests, and individual requirements.

This tailored approach ensures every customer receives materials suited to their tastes, whether they enjoy fiction, non-fiction, large print, or audiobooks.

Whether you live in Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Gilwern, Monmouth or Usk, you’ll find a Monmouthshire Community Hub on your doorstep; a safe, welcoming space where people can connect, learn, and take part in a range of free activities.

Cllr Angela Sandles, Monmouthshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, said: “Set in the heart of our communities, the Hubs play an important role bringing people together, all year round.

“They offer an accessible, inclusive and welcoming space. I’d encourage people of all ages to visit and find out what’s on offer.”
