Monmouthshire County Council has offered the Bridges Centre a new 30-year lease for Drybridge House in Monmouth.
The Bridges Centre plays a key role in facilitating community activity within Monmouth and the surrounding area. The council is excited about the ongoing partnership and looks forward to developing and delivering activities that benefit the community.
Following discussions throughout the year, the council has offered Bridges Centre a rental concession grant of 90% for the first year and 85% for the subsequent two years, enabling the continuation of the services it provides to the local community.
Monmouthshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Resources, Cllr Ben Callard, said: “Bridges is a fantastic organisation. It has been a pleasure to assist them by providing a great venue for many years. We want this relationship to continue. What was once a fledgling organisation is now mature with an impressive service offer.
“I’m very pleased that we have been able to offer a new lease that will benefit both sides. Providing the organisation a secure long-term future.”
