Monmouthshire County Council is encouraging residents to share their views on what makes a strong community through a new engagement on Let’s Talk Monmouthshire.
The initiative is the first step in a wider programme of work that will put the knowledge, experiences and strengths of local people at the heart of shaping the future of their communities.
Through working alongside residents and community partners, the council aims to build a shared understanding of what helps communities thrive and how future projects and initiatives can best support them.
The engagement will help us understand what makes communities strong, connected and resilient, and help develop a shared understanding of community resilience that will shape future projects, services and initiatives across Monmouthshire.
Cllr Angela Sandles, Monmouthshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, said: “The people who know Monmouthshire best are those who live, work and volunteer here. As we continue to develop future projects and services, it is important that we listen, learn and work alongside our communities.
“This is an opportunity for residents to help shape our shared understanding of community resilience, ensuring future projects and initiatives reflect the needs and aspirations of people across Monmouthshire.”
Residents of all ages are encouraged to take part, with dedicated opportunities for both adults and young people to share their views.
The feedback gathered will help inform future conversations, projects and partnership working across the county.
The survey is open until 30 September 2026.
Residents can take part through Let’s Talk Monmouthshire and help shape the future of communities across Monmouthshire.
