Monmouthshire County Council is proud to host Wales’ National Armed Forces Day on Saturday, 28th June 2025, at the picturesque Caldicot Castle and Country Park.
This free event is an opportunity to come together and show our appreciation for the Armed Forces community, including serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadets, and their families.
This year’s Wales’ Armed Forces Day promises a spectacular line-up of headline attractions that will thrill and inspire attendees of all ages.
The skies above Caldicot Castle will come alive as an RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team delivers a high-adrenaline show that’s not to be missed. Adding to the airborne excitement, a fly-past by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will offer a rare chance to witness the historic Spitfire aircraft in flight.
The event will commence on the ground with a parade of cadets and veterans, highlighting the pride and discipline of their members. A captivating performance will lead the parade from the esteemed Band of the RAF Regiment.
Visitors can also explore engaging exhibitions and demonstrations, meet representatives from the Armed Forces and Blue Light Services – including Gwent Police, South Wales Fire & Rescue, Welsh Ambulance Services Trust, and Longtown Mountain Rescue – and connect with charities such as the Royal British Legion, SSAFA, Help for Heroes, and the Monmouthshire Veterans’ Support Hub.
Over half of the free tickets have now been booked, so book now not to miss a day full of family fun: www.monmouthshire.gov.uk/national-armed-forces-day-2025
