This afternoon (Tuesday 13th June) we’re pleased to say that alternative transport arrangements are in place for 25 of the 29 contracts.
The new contracts will start over the next few days. Parents are being advised as and when the arrangements are being confirmed.
The council’s Passenger Transport Unit staff are optimistic that the remaining contracts can be organised by the end of the week and parents will be advised when these new contracts are put in place.
Recovering from the loss of a major transport operator in such a short time is difficult and staff have worked hard with the cooperation of other transport providers to restore transport arrangements.
We remain grateful for parents’ patience and support while the new arrangements are put in place.
