Two informative community engagement events organised by Monmouthshire County Council this month in the northern part of the county will give residents the opportunity to discover the latest plans for the deployment of superfast broadband. Representatives from British Telecom (BT) will be present to provide details of the programme, types of technology, how to order and options for residents.
Events will be held at Llanover Village Hall on Wednesday 16th November and Llanvapley Pavilion on Tuesday 22nd November. Both will start at 5.30pm and each venue has sufficient car parking.
Councillor Bob Greenland, Monmouthshire’s cabinet member for innovation and enterprise said: “Superfast broadband is vital for today’s residential and business communities and the council urges and supports all moves to see it available across our county.”
The engagement events are a result of calls from the council’s Economy and Development Select Committee for greater progress on the development of BT’s superfast broadband programme. Residents who wish for similar events to be arranged in their communities should contact Head of Economy and Enterprise, Cath Fallon – firstname.lastname@example.org
