Secondary School Admissions
Admissions Guidance
Starting Secondary School is one of the most important events in a child's life and as a parent/carer, you will no doubt have a wide range of questions regarding this transition.
If your child is currently attending the feeder school for your chosen secondary school please be aware that this does not guarantee you a place. We will make every effort to accomodate parental preferences. However, where a school is over-subscribed, the over-subscription criteria will be applied.
Before deciding to apply for a place at a particular school, you need to consider carefully how your child will travel to school. You may be eligible for help with transport.
We offer guidance to parents/carers of all newcomers to Secondary Education in the Starting School Booklet.
The booklet has details of our Secondary Schools and details of how to apply for a place. There is also advice about transport to school and other support available.
Please contact the Admissions Team in the School and Student Access Unit on 01633 644508 for more information.
