Caldicot Castle is set in beautiful tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic and colourful history.

You can immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the castle's exciting past with an easy-to-use audio guide, available in English and Welsh.  Explore the medieval towers and take in the breath-taking views from the battlements. Enjoy a leisurely game of chess or draughts, using giant playing pieces, or relax in the gardens and grounds.

Visit Tots' Towers, where soft play and sturdy toys are available (in good weather) in a secure area of the castle lawn.  Suitable for babies and under fives.

At the Activity Station, children can colour in castle scenes, read picture books, and play with the giant Four in a Row set.
