Discover the rich heritage of Monmouthshire's past: displays, events, activities, special exhibitions and shops. We have a number of fantastic museums and castles for you to explore.

Abergavenny museum is housed in a Regency hunting lodge and set within the ruins of a Norman castle.

Caldicot Castle is in a beautiful setting of tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, it was developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home.

Chepstow Museum is an elegant 18th century house built by a prosperous Chepstow merchant family, within the views of the majestic Chepstow castle.

Monmouth museum is home to one of the best collections of Nelson paraphernalia in the world.
