The Red and Purple Bag Recycling Scheme
We provide a weekly kerbside recycling scheme for most households in Monmouthshire. The Red and Purple bag collection accepts your 'dry recycling' materials for example paper, cardboard, glass, cans, jars bottles and tetra-paks.
If you are unsure whether you are in an area covered by the Red and Purple Bag recycling collection please contact your local One Stop Shop who will be able to advise you further.
If you are not in an area covered by the Red and Purple Bag recycling scheme or just want to empty your bags early, you can take your recycling to one of our four household waste recycling centres in Abergavenny, Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouth and Usk. However, they cannot be left there in the bags - they will need to be sorted by you into the relevant recycling banks.
We want to be the best at recycling in Wales - please use this scheme to help Monmouthshire achieve this. For more information contact The Recycling Team on 01633 644126
