Supplier Information
What are the benefits of selling to the Council?
The public sector accounts for 40% of the UK spending on goods and services; this expenditure covers everything from food to building a new school. Local authorities are good customers, they have to be fair, honest and professional in the way that they choose suppliers and in their dealings with them, they are prompt payers and in line with agreed contract terms.
Do I have to be based in Monmouthshire to do business with you?
Our contract opportunities are open to all suppliers and will be awarded according to the evaluation criteria outlined in the tender documentation.
How can my business be included in your approved list of suppliers?
We do not operate an approved supplier list. Tenders for goods and services above £25,000 and under £139,893 will be advertised in the local press, http://www.sell2wales.co.uk/ and where appropriate a relevant trade journal.
Tenders for goods and services above a value of £173,934 and for works above a value of £4,348,350 will be advertised in the official journal of the European Union, http://www.sell2wales.co.uk/, local press or where appropriate a relevant trade journal.
