A bigger, better collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks is coming to all Wales on the 1st of May!

From 1st May we will be moving our eBook and eAudiobook collection to BorrowBox as the sole supplier of eBooks and eAudiobooks for all Wales.  With our new provider you will be getting a better digital service with a bigger, better collection and a better app.

With the best range of eContent since digital lending began, BorrowBox will provide a wider range of eBooks and eAudiobooks than ever before.  The selection of international bestselling titles is constantly expanding to offer you the content you want.

The BorrowBox app is elegant, intuitive and simple to operate and enjoy, with a superior user experience where you can access all eBooks and eAudiobooks in one place – one log in, one site.

To use the eBooks for Wales service you must be a library member (Join the Library) and have a PIN. Please contact us if you have forgotten or do not have a PIN.

Library members who currently use the e-book service from https://wales.libraryebooks.co.uk/ should register on BorrowBox with their Welsh public library card as the current service ends on 30 April 2018. Click on the link https://libraries.wales/my-digital-library/borrowbox/ to go to the BorrowBox page for your local authority and join the service from there. You can do this now and do not need to wait until 1t May to join

If you currently have e-books on loan with the service which is ending, you can finish your loan period even if this goes beyond 1st May. Unfortunately, any reservations on titles in the current service cannot be automatically migrated across to the new system so you will need to reserve items again in BorrowBox. Welsh libraries apologise for this inconvenience.

  • An additional selection of eBooks is available from rb Digital.  If you have not already registered, please see Audiobooks for further information.
