Engagement and consultations
We are changing the way it works with the people of Monmouthshire. As part of the ‘Your County, Your Way' ethos we want to know what you think about living and working in Monmouthshire.
In an effort to find out we are developing the engagement and consultation page to find out what you think, what you want for Monmouthshire and how we can work together to achieve it. Please feel free to take part in any consultations or engagement work that you would like to have a say about.
We look forward to working with you to make Monmouthshire the best place it can be.
Current Consultations
What matters to you? We want to talk with you about where you live. Your answers will help us work together on a plan to make your community a better place to live in.
We are working with our partners from the Local Service Board to identify the challenges our county faces in the future. We want Monmouthshire to become an even more special place to live, where you can raise a family and grow old within a supportive community. We have identified some areas of work and would like to know if you think we're focussing on the right areas.
Improvement Plan
The Consultation on the proposed Improvement Objectives 2013-14 has now closed. The responses received will inform the development of the Improvement Objectives set in the Corporate Improvement Plan 2013 -2016 which will be published in June 2013. If you would like to feedback further comments they can be e-mailed to improvement@monmouthshire.gov.uk .
Budget 2013/14
For the past few years we've used YouTube to talk about our budget proposals. The videos show the Cabinet Member for Finance, Phil Murphy, talking us through plans to change the council budget for the following year.
Here he his on YouTube with this year's budget plans.
Phil is keen to hear what people think of the proposals during this consultation period - if you want to email him he's on philmurphy@Monmouthshire.gov.uk. Alternatively you can tweet us @MonmouthshireCC, comment on this post or chat to Phil at a public meeting.
The full report on budget proposal is on our website.
