Monmouthshire is very well served by a comprehensive network of over 2106 kilometres of rights of way giving access for everyone to most parts of the county - on footpaths, bridleways roads used as public paths and byways.
To encourage use of the rights of way, the County Council has established a network of long-distance paths, in addition to Offa's Dyke national trail. These routes greatly enhance the opportunities for walkers wishing to explore the best of Monmouthshire's countryside.
Each walk is distinctively signed and waymarked, and advertised by a leaflet or booklet. Booklets can be obtained from Tourist Information Centres or direct from Countryside Services.
The Long distance walks available in Monmouthshire consist of
* The Offa's Dyke National Trail
* The Wye Valley Way
* The Usk Valley Way
