Statement from County Councillor Peter Fox, Leader of the Council

 

It is with great pleasure that I assume the mantle of responsibility for Equalities into my portfolio. 

 

We are looking forward to a busy and challenging time within the equalities field over the coming months and we continue to work towards the culture and principles of equality forming the foundation of our everyday working practices and services allowing us to lead our communities and business partnerships by example.  As Leader of the Council I have the opportunity to guide elected members and officers in embedding equality in this way. 

 

We value and respect the diversity of our citizens, elected members, officers and partners and we know that by celebrating and harnessing these individualities we become an even more effective and accessible organisation.
