With a choice of four swimming pools, Monmouthshire offers a range of swimming activities to suit everyone.  If its family fun you're after, all our swimming pools are open 7 days a week for public swimming.  Please check timetables for your local leisure centre.

Our early morning adult-only sessions are perfect if you're looking for a relaxing swim to start the day or an energetic workout to improve your health and fitness levels.  Swimming is an excellent all round fitness activity which improves suppleness, strength and stamina whilst aiding relaxation.  If you're not an early-bird then why not pop in for a swim at lunchtime or after work and relieve the stresses and strains of the day.  We also offer various aquatic fitness classes which provide a fantastic low impact, whole body workout within a fun and enjoyable environment.

Monmouthshire Leisure Centres also provide an extensive range of swimming courses taught by qualified and experienced instructors, which cater for children and adults.  For details about private swimming lessons, please contact your local leisure centre.  The swimming pool changing facilities at each of our Leisure Centres include separate male and female changing areas, individual cubicles, baby changing facilities, lockers, showers and toilets.  Disabled changing facilities are also available.

Water Polo

We are pleased to introduce the new activity of mini water polo at all four of our leisure centres.  This activity is a smaller, more basic version of water polo and is designed to each the basics of the full game.  It is available to both boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12 years, can be played in varying water depths and can be adapted to suit the children taking part.

This is a fun, fast and exciting new activity with some programmed sessions available free of charge as part of the Welsh Assembly Government Aquatic Initiative.

So why not make a splash in Monmouthshire!
