Monmouthshire County Council  have operated pay and display in Abergavenny, Chepstow and Monmouth since April 1997. In the towns of Magor, Caldicot and Usk there are no parking charges.

Disabled bays are available in all off-street car parks or free parking in any marked bay if a valid disabled badge is displayed.

Parking for motorbikes and bicycles is also free in approved areas.

No vehicles over 2.5 tonnes and no dwelling or trading allowed in any of the council's car parks

The overstay facility allows a ticket to be purchased if the vehicle has overstayed within an hour of the expiry of the original ticket.

This ticket will then clear the Penalty Charge Notice issued to the vehicle, if sent to the contact address.
