Paper, Glass, Cans & Textiles

Monmouthshire County Council, in partnership with Monmouthshire Community Recycling  collect from most urban areas in the County. This scheme collects cans, paper, glass and textiles in the weekly Black Box scheme.  Recycling these materials will divert them from landfill whilst also reducing the need for additional raw materials to be processed. Residents without access to the Black Box scheme can recycle a wide range of materials by visiting one of our Recycling Centres or Civic Amenity sites, these locations are listed in the "Where can you recycle?" section of these pages.

The Council also work in partnership with Wormtech to collect green waste and cardboard from most areas in Monmouthshire. These materials are taken to our unique in-vessel composting facilitiy in Caerwent.
