Monmouthshire County Council in partnership with WormTech collect green waste, including grass and hedge cuttings, cardboard, leaves, plants and flowers,  from all urban areas and most of the rural areas of the County.  The materials collected are taken to our unique in-vessel composting site at Caerwent.

Here the waste is first shredded, then composted in a sealed bunker, with the process generating enough heat to kill any harmful bugs present. After this process, the cool compost is fed to our worms who process it into high quality fertiliser. This compost is now available from MacDonalds Nurseries, Llanfoist, Abergavenny. Bag your own compost for about £1 per bag.

Reduced Price Compost Bins

You not only cut down on landfill but also create your
