How much rubbish do we throw away?

How much do we recycle?

In 2006 Monmouthshire recycled 31% of its total waste, and we plan to exceed both European & Welsh recycling targets by raising this figure to 50% by 2011.

How should we manage our rubbish?
The 3 R's
  • Reduce - avoid creating the waste in the first place!
  • Re-use - use something again instead of throwing it away!
  • Recycle - use your local Recycling Centre or your kerbside collection service.
Disposal - is the last resort!
