Unitary Development Plan
Under the Town and Country Planning Development Plan Regulations 1991 (as amended) the local planning authority is required to keep an index containing the following information:
· the title of any plan forming part of or constituting the development plan for their area;
· the date on which that plan was adopted or approved;
· the title and date of adoption or approval of any alteration to that plan;
· the date of the first publication of any notice given under these Regulations in respect of proposals for the making of a plan which will form part of or constitute the development plan for their area or for the alteration or replacement of such a plan;
· the places at which any plan, alteration or notice listed in the index may be inspected; and
· a map showing the boundary of any plan listed in the index.
The index and map kept in accordance with this regulation are available for public inspection on this website and also during normal office hours in the Planning Department at County Hall, Cwmbran.
A Statement on Appropriate Assessment under the Habitats Directive, Article 6, has also been prepared and is available for public inspection in the same locations as the Notice of Adoption.
Inspectors Report
The Public Inquiry into the Monmouthshire Unitary Development Plan (UDP) closed on 16 March 2005. The independent Inquiry Inspector’s Report into objections to the UDP was published on 21 November 2005.
