This site contains the excavated and part restored remains of a 17th Century ironworks, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Located in the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a small car park. It is set alongside the small Angidy River in an opening in this historic wooded valley.

Close by is the Old Station Tintern picnic site, alongside A466, 2km north of Tintern Abbey.

Future conservation works at Angidy Ironworks form part of the recently successful Wye Valley AONB "Overlooking the Wye" Landscape Partnership Scheme, which will be attracting £2.8M investment to the Wye Valley over the next 3 years - more details to follow.
