Clydach Picnic Site & Clydach Ironworks
images

Picnic site and car park alongside the River Clydach, easily reached from the Heads of the Valley road. The ironworks are some 300 metres away, across the river.  The spectacular ironworks were built in the late 18th century and are a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Both are at the lower end of the wooded Clydach Gorge, within the Brecon Beacons National Park close to the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape World Heritage Site.
