The Monmouthshire Association of School Governors (MASG) is an independent forum for school governors in the county.

Most governing bodies have representatives who attend the termly meetings of the association.

The current chairman of the association is Canon Keith Denison who represents Usk Controlled Voluntary Primary School.

MASG aims to:

• Encourage governors and governing bodies to bring matters of common concern to association for discussion.
• Act as a means of communication and encourage co-operation between governors and the Local Education Authority, the National Assembly and Governors Wales.
• Encourage the provision of information, research and  advice.
